Your website resides on one or more servers that we, the webhost, operate in a professional datacenter that has multiple redundant internet, power, and cooling services. Think of it as renting an empty office space for you to set up your business. We provide you the space and allow you to furnish the office the way you want.

What is shared hosting?

Shared hosting is a type of webhosting where we sell webhosting services to multiple people and business from one or more servers. Think of it as an office building that has multiple floors. You may rent one floor, and another business may rent the floor above or below you. We take great care in making sure that our servers do not get oversold or become too slow for our clients. We actively monitor our servers and take steps to keep our clients happy with the performance we provide to them.

What do I need to set up a web site?

• An idea: You need an idea about what you want your web site to be. Is it for personal use or for your business? Will you sell a product or service from the site?
• A domain name: Think of it as a customizable mailing address. You are welcome to buy one through us or from a reputable domain registrar.
• A webhost: Let us be your webhost and we'll take care of you.
• Optional but recommended: a Web Designer/Programmer to build and maintain your website for you.

What is Disk Space?

Disk Space is the amount of storage we give to you to store your data for your web site. This data could be pictures, video files, web pages, and other content. Two to four megabytes (MB) is roughly the typical size for a photo taken with common point and shoot digital cameras. Therefore on the Bronze package, you could have roughly 125 to 250 photos, not including other files. Most web sites will fit fine under this plan.

What is Monthly Transfer?

Monthly Transfer is the amount of data we provide to you and your web site visitors. Each time your web page is visited by someone in the world, data is transferred to that person over the Internet. Think of monthly transfer as minutes in a cell phone plan. The more talking you do, the more minutes you need. So if your site becomes popular and you get a lot of visitors, you may want to think about upgrading your package to one that fits your usage.
